Shop Glazing

Shop glazing refers to the large glass panels that are erected to give a stupendous view of the interior of the shops, showrooms or the establishment. The shop glazed interiors are for bespoke establishments that want to display their high-end products or services to the potential customers outside. Hence shop glazing is also termed as Shop Front Glazing.

In Shop Glazing, if the purpose is to clearly display the interior for its products and services, a clear glass or colorless glasses are used. The glasses so used are tempered and laminated glasses containing fused layers that do not compromise on the transparency they offer. The thickness of the glass can vary as per the specifications. Generally, if the shop glazing has a frontage facing the roadside, the thickness utilized is higher. Even when the glasses are impacted, they do not shatter easily. This is because the glass used for shop glazing purposes are strongly bonded to the inner layer and hence they retain their strength.

The glasses used for shop glazing are usually mounted on frames made of wood, aluminium or PVC. If the glasses used are specialized glasses like toughened and laminated glasses, they are glazed by bolting the large panes directly to a metal framework by means of bolts and drills.
